To get to RDA:
- Under Resources, click FIMS Databases.
- Login with your FIMS/UWO credentials (you’re actually accessing the intranet here).
- Near the bottom, click Resource, Description and Access (RDA) Toolkit.
- Passwords change periodically, so use the current password listed in the table.
- It might not look like anything on the page has changed, but if you see a Profile button in the-top right of the page, you are, in fact, logged in.
- At this point, you can either explore the new version of the site, or click “Original Toolkit” at the top of the page.
To get to Catalogers Desktop:
- Under Resources, click FIMS Databases.
- Click, Cataloger’s Desktop (V.4).
- Usernames and passwords are usually requested by your instructor on your behalf and are sent to your UWO email. Contact us at fimslib@uwo.ca or your instructor for more info.
- You might notice it is difficult to access RDA through Catalogers Desktop. If that is the case, we recommend accessing RDA directly, by the method above. If this doesn’t work, please email us at fimslib@uwo.ca.
